About Me

My photo
My name is Anna, and I work as a primary school teacher in greater London. I love eating pizza and watching TV with my husband. I also love painting glass, and any other crafty pursuits that give me a chance to make a mess! I am on a bit of a mission to learn how to cook, bake, sew and generally make things before I have children. I'm trying to learn something new each day. I really value your support, so thank you for following me xx

Weekend Antics and Hand Made Monday

I've been feeling a little glum this weekend as I seem doomed to never sell anything (cue sad music). However, I am ploughing on and painting everything in sight! Here are a few things that have burst out of my imagination, kicking and screaming:

Earlier today my random scribble (girl with balloon) and Mr Husband's random scribble (boy with robot) made it onto some jam jars.

  1. Those are so adorable! Keep your chin up. Of course, that's easy for me to say, I just make stuff, I don't try to sell anything. But I can imagine it's very difficult.

  5. I like the butterfly glasses. I wouldn't give up just yet. It's early in the year. Have you thought about doing a fancy box for those glasses? I think they would be a real hit.

  9. We all go through times when we feel like our stuff 'isn't good enough',' I don't make anything anyone likes' etc, etc. It passes. Your work is very pretty and lots of people will like it...they've yet to find you, that's all.

  10. Those glasses are amazing. Have you tried a wedding fayre? You could sell them as bride and groom glassess etc. Don't just limit yourself to the obvious. Fill your jars with sweets or something similar and maybe you could even personalise them.
