I'm not sure that I am entirely recovered from last St Patrick's day, so I will be staying home this year. So I have made my friend Joan an Irish Coffee Glass to make up for being a wimp and not hitting the pubs:
And finally, my clever little brother got his A Level results on Tuesday - and I thought this would be a good excuse to have a go at making a card. Let me know if you get the joke (hint - they are meant to be clogs!)
Don't forget to check out the other Hand Made Mondays!

* sits pondering the joke * think the wine has kicked in ! I love the bluebird as well, the space for a name is a great idea, and St Patrick's day is not the same without a hang over the following day :)
ReplyDeleteThe glass painting really is looking lovely. I saw a stall at the craft fair i was at today selling similar and they were doing really well.
ReplyDeleteYou were wise to leave a space for the name I think. Personalisation definitely helps sell things! Also love the Irish coffee glass - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteTHanks for taking part in Handmade Monday x
Love the bluebird, the Graphic Fairy is a fantastic source for vintage papers etc and the Irish coffee glass, yumm
ReplyDeleteReally love your work....Altho I did have think for a bit about the card (was a bit dim obviously lol)
ReplyDeleteFantastic work, love the bluebird, great idea about personalising it.

The coffee glass is fab :)
ReplyDeleteOH now i need to put some whiskey or something in my coffee, love the art work on the glasses.

Your work is lovely Anna. My outlining is done on flat surfaces so I can really appreciate how difficult working on curves really is!
ReplyDeleteThe blue tit is beautiful and being able to personalise it is brilliant.

ReplyDeleteThe card is very clever, although my ex-blondness came through and i sat here going whaaaat???? Oh yeah i get it. I'm sure your brother will catch on quicker than i did!

Your work is lovely, and I really love the bluebird painting :) xx
ReplyDeleteNice work. Very good idea to leave room for a name as that always helps to sell something.
ReplyDeleteThe bluebird is awesome. I can't see how you can paint on a round surface, but I can't paint on a flat one, so there you go. What lovely work. I'm so impressed. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the very kind comments - I am smiling :) To put you out of your misery the card is supposed to be 'clever clogs'! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely work, the glasses are both fab, I may keep popping back to you for ideas on a wine glass' it's nice to have something different. Good idea leaving the envelope blank :) x
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed, I can't paint to save my life. Takes me all my time to paint the walls never mind something so delicate on non flat surfaces. Liking the card also. Well done
ReplyDelete*Love* the bird on the glass, so colourful and gorgeous. Great idea leaving the envelope blank.

Love the card - very flash :D
ReplyDeleteI really like the coffee mug - everything should be Irish I think. Shame that would make me look like I have a problem though ;)
Wow, very cool projects! Amazing job transferring that image onto a wine glass!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from the Graphics Fairy. TFS!
YOu've been busy, love the card, simple, clever and elegant x
ReplyDeleteWow! How do you do this? SO beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the glass - it's really beautiful! Glad you explained re. the clogs - I didn't get it (but I do now obviously!!)
