About Me

My photo
My name is Anna, and I work as a primary school teacher in greater London. I love eating pizza and watching TV with my husband. I also love painting glass, and any other crafty pursuits that give me a chance to make a mess! I am on a bit of a mission to learn how to cook, bake, sew and generally make things before I have children. I'm trying to learn something new each day. I really value your support, so thank you for following me xx

The Spare Room...

Welcome to my Spare Room...

I know, it's hideous. But hear me out.

This has always just been the dumping ground of the house, because I'm saying to myself - "surely it won't be long until I need it as a baby room - and I don't want to get used to it being something else". But, a watched pot never boils right? So it's going to be a craft room until I need it for someone something else.

I've also realised after previous failed attempts that this can't be done in a day. So here I will post my baby steps towards spare room hell, becoming craft room heaven.

First Step: Craft Folder

The clear out continues. It still looks like a crime scene. But 4 bin bags later, it is roughly sorted into boxes:

And, check out the sexy empty cupboard! This is just screaming to be something beautiful.

An empty room at last!

Room painted, and flat packs bought

I know the walls look the same, but it feels fresh and bright. The laptop is so that I can watch Dinner Date while I build!

Here is the glass cupboard, which is waiting for shelves:

Curtains and a crafty lampshade:

Nearly there!

1 step back and 2 steps forward. Had to take down the wallpaper (I didn't do the best job) and my Dad very kindly put it back up after putting in shelves for me:

I love it!

So the room is basically done! Just need to pretty it up with something for the walls.
