Actually - my little brother has asked me to help him make a large ring cushion, to go around a circular bed for his friend. It still takes me half an hour to thread my sewing machine so not sure how that little project will go! (Any advice welcome!)
Anyhoo, not had much free time this week but managed a couple of bits:
This vase was painted using an image from The Graphics Fairy. It's supposed to be a crescent moon with roses, but my husband thought it was a dolphin. Here's to hoping he just wasn't wearing his glasses!
I made this little sweets jar for my friends little boy - Dev. I have 3 jars left so may put this up as an example on Folksy - although I am a bit nervy about putting up things that I have got physically sitting upstairs!
These are an engagement present. The light isn't great but the hearts are different shades of sparkly purple.
Well, thats all folks. Don't forget to check out HandMade Monday on Wendy's 1st Unique Gifts.

Those glasses with the hearts are really effective - they'll make a lovely gift.

Love the sweetie jar!
ReplyDeleteThese are really gorgeous, the sweets jar is ideal for easte filled with mini eggs. The graphics fairy is fab - isn't he, I love seeing what you do with her designs. What machine do you have, if it's not too old a make why not take it to a sewing machine shop and get them to demonstrate where you are going wrong? I used to be the same (praying that once it was threaded it would never come unthreaded or me have to change the cotton, as I was rubbish at threading it), luckily I updated it and got a Janome and now it takes seconds.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday

ReplyDeleteI have an overlocker which I hardly ever use as I have to read the handbook each time I use it and so I know how you feel.
ReplyDeleteGlass painting looks perfect : )
Most definetely can't see a dolphin anywhere. The colour combination looks really effective. Love the engagement present glass ware too.
