I also love painting glass, and any other crafty pursuits that give me a chance to make a mess! Handmade Monday - Bits and Bobs

Happy bank holiday Monday!

I've been up to lots of bits and pieces this week. Had lots of fun with my new sewing machine - but nothing to show yet really! I'm working on a skirt right now, so hoping that will end up as something worth sharing!

On the subject of sewing, here are some adorable little phone socks my class made this week:

Bearing in mind that at the start of the lesson, they didn't know which end of the needle to use - I think they did pretty well!

I'm not all that pleased with the last one, I was just trying out some new colours really and my purple seems to have gone a bit gloopy.

The most excitment this week, comes from a discovery in wilko - check out these beauties!


These glasses are ENORMOUS! and only £4 for 4. Can't wait to get started with them - and I've got just the person in mind to give the first one to.

    Well done Class on the phone socks ... cute! Like the painted glasses, looks like you've found a bargain on the glasses - bet you can't wait to start on them.

    I love the phone sock with hearts, your class did really well.

    I got a shock last week when I was washing up some larger wine glasses and tipped the water into a measuring jug and realised that it was half a pint!

    I love the phone socks - well done to your class (and you!). I remember all the practical projects from primary school - I loved them.

    oh, you're giving classes! I need to pop over. Drat, I think it would take me too long on my kayak.... :) But the little phone socks look wonderful. And the glasses look really great to me. I admire all you painters.

    I too love the bee one, really cute, I took some pics of bees for last weeks blog, it was a bit scary, I think I'll stick to drawing them. Your class done well.
